Our vision at Vana Foundation is to revive Indian wisdom. We will focus on Indian wisdom, Indian farming and Indian culture through our initiatives and activities, with an aspiration to benefit all, especially India and its youth.
The foundation’s goals to revive aspects of Indian culture span across music, food, textiles and art. These areas are already being touched upon throughout Vana and there is a lot more to come in the near future and beyond. Indian Wisdom as we define it, includes these vital aspects of culture that we deeply care for.
Siddhartha Festival is motivated by the intent to pay homage to and celebrate the "Prince of India – Siddhartha Gautama", and to introduce his legacy and wisdom to those who are seeking truth. It is an initiative of Siddhartha’s Intent India under the vision and guidance of Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche.
Vidyaloke means wisdom and light. Its aspiration is to inspire the study and practice of the Buddha's paths to enlightenment. Not as a spiritual movement or philosophy – but as a facilitator to find one’s path amongst the 84000 paths taught by the Buddha.
Lighting The Mahabodhi is an initiative of Siddhartha's Intent India, managed by Vana Foundation with support from Khyentse Foundation. It aims at installing and managing a comprehensive lighting system for the entire Mahabodhi Temple Complex.
